My FV9130 just died. I get a red light on plug in - but 0 heat. Sorry I can answer neither your nor my problem - but feel the need to reach out across the digital void to offer some kind of fellow sufferer-style solace in a cruel, lonely clothes-flatteners' world. I may find a solution one day - maybe with your help, maybe otherwise. Meanwhile, I caved in and just ordered a new iron: certain that the 'victorian-electric-element-in-stylish-plastic-housing-for-sixty-quid' industry has finally figured out a way to deliver a product capable of withstanding the killer hard use to which it is it is daily exposed (sliding up and down on horizontal cotton surface) for more than 6 months, I bought one of those 'steam generator' rigs to make the job even easier.
