My Dyson DC04 does seem to have lost suction. What can I do?

My Dyson DC04 does seem to have lost suction power. I have checked that there is nothing caught up inside. I have cleaned all the bits which might help. Has anyone got any tips? What else can I try?

Ours did the same thing, and it was not the filter but was a lot of "crud" built up at the front around the spinning brush bit where air enters or exits. I removed the brush cover and cleaned it out, then it was perfect!!

I had the same problem. Took all I could apart and there seemed to be no blockages. Took it to a local dealer who replaced the filters and it worked fine. You can clean the filters instead of replacing them.
