Ray:

I have a 570 as well. Worked great for 9 months, mostly sitting on my desk and a few trips. In April I got the USB Sync screen when I turned it on, maps disappeared and software would not load. Sent it back in for warranty repair, under an RMA. They fixed it by replacing it. May 20th was the end of the warranty. 15 days later it crashed again...same problem as what I sent it in for.

Navman tech support said in June (before the 11th) it's out of warranty and they want $100 to repair it. Replacment unit lasted less than 45 days...I'm trying to locate the new President of the division and get his assistance...otherwise I'm buying a Garmin. At least they give you a 90 day warranty on a repair. I can understand if the problem was different from the reason I sent it in...but the same problem...ridiculous. The worst customer service of any GPS company I have found.

i don't have one of these, but in this order i would try these things...

doing a hard reset - is there a reset button somewhere on this device

if you can connect to it via a computer try installing/reinstalling the latest firmware

email navman tech support
