How do I replace a beko WM1412 washing machine heater element
T Emberton, September 2007
Thanks for the help, Phil, but I have to add that I know my heater is faulty, have removed the old one but cannot get the new one in on my Hotpoint. It's just a case of not knowing the serviceman's trick to easy fitting! The seal just keepes compressing and won't go in. I mention this just to show one can know what's wrong without being able to effect a repair.

How do you know its faulty? I'm assuming if you don't know how to change one then you can't have tested it.
I service Beko machines and have rarely had problems with the heaters.
If it's just not heating (which it won't start doing until well into the wash) it may well be one of many problems, pcb, wiring fault, thermostat etc.
