How do I remove the engine pulley to replace it?

I have a Craftsman 917.252610 mower. The engine pulley is broken and needs to be replaced. I removed the bolt, however, the pulley will not come off. Does it take a special tool to remove it? How does it come off?

all you need is a 5/8 socket up throu the center from the bottom of the pully.
