Help concerning NTL d5100?

I have 2 of these phones, and when dialling numbers, neither of them work.
What happens is, I type the number in, press the call button and instead of dialling, it beeps repeatedly, and I cannot make calls.
I can however recieve calls.
Help?

I had same problem and after taking the phone into a million bits and putting back together - same problem. I then read the manual and realised I had outgoing calls barred so after dialing a few digits it just bleeped. Simple as that! Changed the setting and it works fine!

Likely to be one of three things: 1) Base station broken, 2) handsets have lost registration with the base Station, 3) hand sets out of range.

1) Replace the whole thing.

2) Look in you handbook an how to register hand sets.

3) Move closer to the base Station
