How to replace a flat belt on a Hoover windtunnel?

How do you repace a flat belt on a Self-Propelled WindTunnel by Hoover Model U6435-900 Belt 38528035
J Alexander, September 2007
To replace flat belt:

1. Disconnect cleaner from electrical outlet.
2. Remove bottom plate:
Place handle in low position and turn cleaner over so bottom side is up. Remove the 4 screws with a Phillips screw driver. Lift off bottom plate.
3. Remove belt:
Flat belt operates the self-propel features and indirectly drives the brush roll. Remove used belt from large pulley and discard.
4. Position back of belt:
With lettering on outside of belt, slide new belt over motor shaft.
5. Position front of belt:
Place other end of belt over large pulley while rolling the pulley in the direction shown.
6. Replace bottom plate:
Reposition bottom plate and 4 Phillips head screws. Tighten screws securely.
