Where does the oil go on my briggs and stratton classic 35 mower?

I have been mixing 4 stroke oil with the petrol but it is not running well, is there a sump and if so where?

The engine has a sump containing oil. You DO NOT mix oil with the petrol. Look on the side of the engine block. You will see the oil filler cap. It has 2 raised studs to the cap. Screw it off and use the oil and amount recommended for a four stroke from your local mower shop. Otherwise its good night nurse for your engine.
