Kenmore 385-18830 feed dogs won't raise?

Plastic switch does not raise feed dogs back to sewing position. Removed bottom which has switch attached and can easily raise dogs by touching the bar that controls them, but they do not stay up. Do not have a picture of the switch to see if a part has broken off, but nothing on the switch seems to touch the bar to raise dogs when I replace the bottom. They are stuck in the lower position. Can you help? Or do you know if there is a parts diagram on the internet so I can see what it's supposed to look like?

Hello Cheryl,
I am trying to remember your exact model and the drop feed mechanism, all these drop feed switches are very simple and usually it just means a slight adjustment underneath the switch which just contains a raised spring, if it is possible for you to e-mail a picture of underneath the drop feed dial I can see exactly what adjustment needs to be done and it will be very minor, answer only on my e-mail address because I don't go back to questions to answer on howtomendit.
