How can i fix my henry vacuum cleaner?

How do i take my henry vacuum cleaner apart , i think the trip switch has to be reset
Gwen, September 2007
HENRYS AND SOME OTHER NUMATIC VACUUM CLEANERS DO HAVE TRIP SWITCHES. THEY ARE LISTED IN THEIR SPARES CATALOGUES AS "OVER TEMPERATURE TRIPS" AND ARE BETWEEN THE SWITCH AND MOTOR, IN THE CIRCUIT, ON THE LIVE SIDE. THEY ARE PHYSICALLY LOCATED AGAINST THE MOTOR BODY SO AS TO BE SENSITIVE TO EXCESS HEAT. IF THIS HAS FAILED OPEN CIRCUIT THE MOTOR WOULD NOT RUN. IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SOMETHING YOU CAN RESET.

Hi.

Sorry but Henrys dont have a trip switch,
If its dead it could be any of the following.
INTERNAL BREAK IN MAINS LEAD,FAULTY SWITCH,WARN CARBON BRUSHES, OR ONE OF THE WIRES ON THE FIELD COIL HAS BURNT AWAY FROM ITS CONNECTOR.
