my car is a 1.8 vw golf mk3 93 plate it has an alarm and was told it had an imoboliser the ignition was faulty so i replaced it but since then it has been running then for no reason just stopping cutting out wait for a few minutes then it starts again i have changed fuel pump also fuel filter but still does the same any help would be appreciated

Locate the fuel pump relay and check for any sign of corrosion and overheating of the terminals.
