how can I fix Combi Ideal Response 120. No hot water/central heating?

I am trying to fix an Ideal Response 120. After replacing the Limit stat, when DHW is turned on initially machine starts correctly but subsequently burner goes off and then comes back on and repeats. Eventually the stat breaks down again. Any idea what's wrong?

Hi Mat, yes the pump seems to be working fine. Could a faulty sensor cause the boiler to overhaet the water and the limit stat to come in cutting the the electrical circuit? Perhaps after cuttimg in a few times eventually burning out?
