runs for few seconds and stops itself?

Just recently while running on my trademill, it suddenly stopped. At first I thought I pushed a stop button accidentally, so I started it again. But it only ran for few seconds and stopped itself again. I got off, and started it again. It ran for a few seconds and stopped itself again. I tightened and loosened the belt, touched every button on it, but nothing solved this BIG (to me) problem. The trademill I have is TX 5.0 RC. Can anyone p'se advice on what to do? Thank you

I had the same problem while repairing my treadmill(powertrek).i found there is a sensor near the motor but pointing towards the pully(your treadmill may measure the speed differently),this sensor measures speed. If this sensor has moved a little,so that it is unable to measure speed, the treadmill stops. On the other hand your treadmill may have a different problem altogether or measure speed in a different way.Goodluck

I have the same problem, but no solution. We have tried changing the fuse, reconnecting certain electrical outlets, etc. Still only runs for seconds and then stops. We are able to remove the red button and put it back on and it restarts again but same thing happens. If I figure it out, I will email. Sorry, I too need help
