When the washing machine goes into a spin it sounds like a helecopter about to take off :) iv had the lid off and none of the brackets that hold the drum in place have sheered off wondering if it is the shock absorbers that have gone ? tho the noise dose seem to come from inside the plastic drum housing , but when running the drum dosent seem to move unordenairally (looking through the glass), i blame my girlfriend for putting too much in it :)

I had that one. We always joked that our washing machine was lifting off to Mars to wash the clothes there. The reason is simple: the bolts holding the concrete damping blocks in place are loose. You need to open the top of the washing machine and tighten all bolts (there are concrete blocks in top and bottom of the drum, with I believe 6 or 8 boltsin total). That should solve it.
