206 wont start?

Peugeot 306 (1997cc) hdi w reg sometimes car fails to start.engine hot or cold rain or shine makes on difference. When it fails there is no supply to the low pressure pump fuse. (ecu problem?). Had fault codes checked nothing for shure.problem cleares itself after a time.No fault lights show at all.can anyone help.
Thanks Tony

The ECU operates the low pressure pump by providing an earth (neg) supply to the fuel pump relay for two seconds when the ignition is switched on. Therefore check the operation of the relay when the ignition is switched on.
