I want to check break shoes but can't see how to take off wheel drums

Remove wheel, prise off centre cap with screwdriver, remove split pin from centre nut, remove centre nut and washer and bearing, pull off drum (put a couple of wheel bolts back into the hub to get a good grip of the drum). If drum still won't shift, prise brake pad inwards with screwdriver through inspection hole in backplate.
