Car won't start following overheating?

Peugot 106 diesel '96.
Had insufficient water in radiator, over heated & boiled over, engine stalled, now won't start. No evidence of a blown head gasket or any other problem other than boiling over, glow plug's working ok . Any ideas? also how do I check that fuel supply is ok

you could have cracked your cylinder head and have lost compression, apparently the 106 diesel is renowned for this and I can attest to it because mine blew last month because it ran out of water, I have scrapped it now as it was going to cost £400 to get it fixed, but in your case, I would check you had no oil in your water or water in your oil, if you take off your oil filler cap and look for a cream white deposit on the inside, if it's there then you have either a blown gasket or a cracked cylinder head .....good luck

Is the engine actually turning over on the starter now? If not then it may be siezed if it overheated badly. If the engine is turning over you might carefully slacken one injector pipe which should give a dribble of fuel whilst the engine is turned.
