i have a triton jade shower and would like to replace the shower hose and head as they are starting to deteriorate do i have to turn the water off at the mains first

I have just fitted a replacement shower hose and head but the water pressure is not as powerful now. It is a mira shower head and hose. The head has a massage setting similar to my previous one but when selected spurts water intermitantly as if the water pressure was being turned off and on. Can anyone offer some advice?

you shoudn't have to turn off the mains..most tritons will have a threaded connection at the hose end,which simply screws off the water outlet.Provided your shower is OFF,you can simply unscrew the old hose,and screw in the new.Check that the new fitting has a rubber sealing washer...don't reuse the old one.B&Q sell spurious replacements,aswell as the genuine triton parts.Good luck.
