How can i fix my Candy tumble dryer?

The 'clean filter' light keeps coming on the tumble dryer and it wont get hot. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

This sounds like a similar problem to the question i recently posted.I've since found out that my creda tumble dryer needs a new thermostat.i've been quoted £55 to supply and fit.
