how can i fix my linkage on my peugeot 106?

how can i fix my linkage as it has come off i know i need to get a new part but unsure of how to fix it on and take the old one off? on a peugeot 106 1.1 N reg manual

Probably the nylon ball and cup are worn and the cup has jumped off. Push it back on and hold it temporarily with some wire or cable ties.
