my samsung freezer(RS21DCNS) not working?

My freezer not getting to required temp the fan inside is working fine but the compressor doesn't seem to working properly it seems to try to start but stops straight away i also noticed it to be very hot although the cooling fan is running does this mean the compressor knackered like i suspect or could it be something else .sick of this damn thing had nothing but probs since the warranty ran out.thanks to anyone who can help

SOUNDS LIKE COMPRESSOR FAULTY, IF TRYING TO START BUT CUTS OUT THIS IS THE THERMAL OVERLOAD COMING ON..NORMALLY THIS MEANS COMPRESSOR FAULT..

LOOKING AROUND THE £200 MARK TO REPAIR..

HAVE YOU HAD A POWER CUT LATELY ?????
IF SO THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED DAMAGE AND YOU COULD CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR INSURED FOR THIS ???
