Does anyone have the instructions for using the prog/installer parts of the Veritas 8/R8 control panel.

I seem to be paying an awful lot of money for yearly service, battery changes, detector tests etc. just becuase the installer has set codes to disable my system each year.

Please help.

appologies!!!, the factory engineer code is 1234 and not 4321(that is the factory user code) as previously stated.

Did you have the alarm fitted by the same company? veritas has three service timers, all can only be accessed when in programming (engineer mode) so if you don't have the engineer code! FYI factory setting is 4321, if that gets you in press 29 then enter a date(6 digit DDMMYY the zone lights 1-6 will light as you key them in then press prog, not sure how long you can set this but don't go to far or it may not accept the date.

for info if it was the company Veritas say that the installer should have obtained written agreement off the customer with regards to using service timers. Vertias will not accept responsibility if this is the case and you should take it up with the installer(check your small print)
