Ideal Classic FF280 Boiler?

My boiler will not ignite, i have looked at the circuit board and the is a small component that is lights up intermittent as though it is giving out a pulse to ignite the flames, but i have no manual or service book to see what it sends the signal to. Any help would be appreciated.

really helpfull answer mate!

sounds like the igniter part of the control board that you see flashing! do you see a spark at the back of the burner (through the viewing window)? if you cant see a spark it could be a problem with the lead or the electrode, if you can see a spark at the back it could be a blockage at the pilot or it could be a lack of gas! dont wanna teach you to suck eggs but if your on a card gas meter check to make sure there is gas on!

hope this is more helpful!
