I need to fix my La-Z-Boy Luxury Lift recliner?

My La-Z-Boy 1LH Luxury Lift power electric recliner is stuck in the reclined position. When the Up/Down switch is pressed, all I hear is a single clicking noise from what looks like a relay underneath. The motor makes no noise at all. The heat pad still works fine. All the mechanical components appear to be in good working order, as there was never any indication that something was wrong until it stopped working. Unplugging for several minutes did not resolve the problem. If this is an electrical component problem, I would like to fix it myself if the replacement parts are available.

Does anyone have or know where to purchase a Lazboy hand wand #75000242-01 for the Lazboy Luxury Liftchair? Lazboy quit making these in 2013 so they are out of stock. I need to replace the hand wand to my parents chair but am unable to find this 8 pin model anywhere. Help!

My LazyBoy lift chair is in the up position, and will not move. It is puuged in and when I push the switch I hear a click in a black box in the bottom of the chair. Can you help me? Can I change something to lower it so I can use it as a regular chair?

Jerry, the footrest on my mother's Luxury Lift recliner will not move. The controls move the back of the chair without problem, but the footrest is stuck in the upright position. What can we do? She's in an assisted-living apartment and relies on this chair. Thank you.

I work at a Lay-Z-Boy dealer in the repair department and have replaced the control module for these power lift chairs several times over the last few months.
First check your power supply and the wires going to it to the chair to make sure they aren't pinched or damaged. If they are, replace the power supply.
If the wires look okay then pull the fabric up on the back of the chair (it's held down with velcro). You should see the bottom of the control module. It's about a 14"X6"X1" black plastic box. Try the controls while putting your hand on the box to see if that is what is clicking when you try to use the chair.
If it's just clicking and nothing is moving chances are the control module is bad. Lay-Z-Boy has had an upgraded control module to replace these with. The part is only held down with two plastic zip ties so you can cut these and get the part number off of the module. The new part number ends in -02.
Check to see if your still covered under warranty. Your chairs information will be on a tag under the footrest somewhere.
If you are out of warranty contact your local Lay-Z-Boy dealer to get the part you need. they can order you one if they don't stock them.
