How can I fix the shower screen?

The plastic seal that runs along the shower screen over the bath has withered. I've been everywhere to get new one as it just slides on and off the bottom of the screen but I am told everywher that I will have to have a whole new glass screen. Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem but the screen glass (a curbed one) is just over a year old and the company that sold and install the bathroom has gone bust. The glass started coming out from the top and took it out, fixed it again but didn't last long. Everybody says the same thing, I have to buy a new screen. I cannot believe that cannot be repaired/fixed. Any ideas?

Look on ebay, there is a shop called the-bathroom-doctor which sells replacement strips for either straight or curved screens.

If you have a branded shower screen then it is simply a matter of phoning the manufacturer for a replacement seal or any other bits that are broke,( I have phoned the manufacturers of Aqualux and they have sent me a new seal for a ten year old screen free!) now that's what I call customer service. If you just have a cheap and nasty variety and know where you bought it from then they should be able to give you the number of the manufacturer who will supply you with a new seal at little or no cost.
If you do decide to get a new screen remember when you buy cheap you get cheap.

Try Screenseal. It can be used on solid glass screens and will work on the concertina ones too. If you search for it on Google there are a few outlets and it costs only £10. The sites also show you how to attach it to the screen.

Sorry this is not a decent answer, but I can sympathise as unfortunately we have exactly the same problem. I'm not buying a new screen as that part is fine. Its just the plastic seal is no longer clear but an algae green - even just a week after cleaning the thing. It'll be dropping off like your one very soon too!!
