Gilera DNA losing power?

Please help: My DNA used to go really well, but recently it has started to lose power suddenly (top speed drops to 20mph). Then it will pick up again after a while.....but then it can go slow again. Today I took off the carb and cleaned the bottom jets (the ones easy to access). Now, although it revs fine as soon as I reach a certain speed (less than 15mph) the revs drop and I lose power. If I back off on the throttle then it picks up and feels like its going to accelerate but then once again when I get to a certain speed it loses power again...HELP!

I had that same problem, mine was because air was being sucked into the carb make sure it is all tight and check to see if your exaurst is fitted tightly

hi, i had this problem, i found out it was my automatic choke, to solve this problem i simply 'blanked' the hole that the automatic choke goes into the carburettor, you can simply do this by taking off the choke and then replacing it with a 2p coin to see if this is the fault.
