How can I fix my (footwell leak, seat, leon 1.4)?

Water traped in the back footwell of my seat leon 1.4

I have exact same problem. 02 Cupra 20VT with drivers side soaking all the time and wet feet whenever I open drivers door after a rain. I must go through a newspaper every day when it rains. Water gets trapped in the sills also as I hear it sloshing about when i park on a hill.

towards front of door, underneath, find drainage hole in door and cut away seal to allow water to escape.

I have no idea Karl - but my 51 plate 1.8 Leon is full of water too - in the rear footwells. Somebody must know! I wrote to Sean who said that after investigating my query with SEAT UK's Technical Department, they were aware of a few isolated cases of water leaks. However this is not a known issue with SEAT UK and therefore advised me to contact my local SEAT approved dealership for further investigation. They wanted £500 to reseal windows and doors! So it still leaks at present.
