Miele T230C tumble dryer - No heat?

I have a miele T230C tumble dryer which appears to have stopped heating up. The washing tumbles as normal and all lights illuminate as expected however there is no heat so the washing does not dry! Is there an element that has broken? Can this part be ordered and replaced myself?

how can I check whether its the thermostat or the heating element - can the heating element be easily changed

Roger Connolly, July 2009
Hi Richard
I have the same problem with my Miele T230C.
I am planning to take the top and back off and vacuum clean all the expected fluff off the insides. A new thermostat may be needed - cost around £15.00 from the internet. If a new heating element is needed the cost can be £185.00 or over £200.00 depending on where you source on the internet!
