Replacing Clutch Cable on 96 Mondeo?

I have a 1996 N Reg Mondeo 2.0 16v Zetec Ghia X.

the clutch pedal seems quite high and I think it may need the clutch cable replacing

How easy is it to replace the clutch cable or will it have to be done professionally

Indeed, car spares dealers don't stock a clutch cable for any Mondeo, but they do sell clutch cylinders, bit of a clue there. Thank you Richard for the informative answer. More power to you!

Hi it has,nt got a cable it,s hydraulic, got a concentric slave cylinder inside the bell housing of the gearbox.
Can only be changed with the gearbox removed but if your going to do this i would strongly recommend changing all 3 parts of the clutch.
