How can I fix my dyson?

I was hoovering and my dyson (dc07i, root cyclone) started smelling and then cut out. I tried a new fuse, but that didn't work, is it the motor?

Dyson offer a fixed price service for £65 with a 12 month guarantee.

As well as a new motor, you'll probably need a new post-motor filter with a total cost of about £60 with shipping and you have to get your hands dirty.

There's no contest
