Changing the locks on a ford transit W reg 2000 chipped key???

I have a 2000 W reg Transit Van and the key with the red chip has severely worn down and I am having difficulties opening all the door locks and I am worried that one day it won't work the ignition! The black key without the chip doesn't work the locks or ignition. I have an immobiliser light on the dash that flashes on and off when the ignition is off, goes off when the van is started, and if I use the black key it flashes on and off fast.

I am looking to buy a new full lock set which has new keys without a chip. Can I swap the locks and ignition over and will it still override the immobiliser, or do I need to get a new transponder and chipped key set, or is there a way round the chip problem?

Please help before I cant start my van! Many thanks for any replies!!

You can get a full lock set with the proper chipped keys for £62 from you local Ford dealer, this is the way to go and the fact you have the original keys means you can program the new keys. On a W reg you shouldn't have a red key though.
