I have an old rainbow vacuum cleaner. I removed the wires from the switch?

to replace the motor now the power head runs when you plug it in. What is the correct way to wire the on/off switch

Depends on what model you have. If the switch is up in the handle, then you could have one of two styles. One is a switch with holes in it. This is wired with the power wire going to the top left and bottom right holes. The field wires go to the top right and bottom left holes. The power nozzle recepticle goes in the two middle holes.

If your swith has 4 wires coming off of it, then the power wire connects to the 2 black wires, and the field and power nozzle recepticle wires connect to the 2 blue wires to make a 3 wire connections.

If you have something different, then you have a different model or a rig job. Call us at the number below for more details.
