My 5 year old AEG tumble dryer is depositing small brown stains on laundry (any setting). They are removable with 'stain devils' and could be rust. Any ideas about cause? There's nothing I can see in the drum (although I haven't climbed inside with a torch yet!)

I had it repaired. The wheels the drum was rotating on had worn down causing the whole drum to drop exposing greasy felt. It was this leaving the deposit and not rust.
