there is plenty of room. remove the ns drive shaft and disconect the hub unit. then remove the battery, tray and air box. there is a hydrolic pump below the starter motor these both need undoing and, the tin plate under the fly wheel,andalso the gear linkedges.jack up the car. and put the engine on a jack, undo the engine mount below the suspention reservour then undo the clutch fixings a little wiggle and the gearbox comes out i have done this today without a manual and i have no mechanical background. and i appologise for my spelling
