At some major stores like parts stores or hardware stores there is an easy to use book or cross reference machine available. You should also use the manufacturer's website to determine what the part number is. Things that are helpful to know are the model no., deck size, Blade configuration (two or three blades) engine horsepower etc. Know as much as you can about your mower when you go.
