My hair straightners only heat up if i press and hold the wire into the plug in the right position. Any idea why this is and if i can mend them myself!
Yes Kirsty ...... chop the sealed plug off using a pair of wire cutters and fit a new plug once you have bared the live and neutral wires. Remember to fit the correct value fuse i.e the same value as was fitted in the old plug.
