Mine is a Murray also. Have you checked the KISS stuff first? Mine did the same thing. I found I had a rusted cracked positive wire which I replaced both the positive and negative wires, my battery needed some water, and I cleaned the corrosion of the terminals, (it's bad for that in humid NC) I then gave the battery a good charging and it worked! But then the tire went flat and the belt came off, which I haven't figured how to put back on as yet. That's why I'm here also. lol A friend calls it "The lawnmower from Hell"
