We have a Ferroli Modena 80E combi-boiler and want to fit a wireless thermostat in the house to control the temp more efficiently. I contacted Ferroli and they have advised me toget a Ferroli Programmable Thermostat part no. 30800009. I can't seem to find any trace of these... any advice about where to get one?

My Towerstat RF has stopped working correctly after a year. The timer works but the thermostatic aspect has failed.

I couldn't find the Ferroli wireless thermostat either, but recently purchased a Towerstat RF/BM wireless thermostat instead. The box said it's compatible with the Optimax 25, but it works in my Optima 701 with no problems at all (despite the manual saying that boilers with a metal cover over the control might have problems with signal interference). Only about £60 on eBay and very easy to fit (no wiring in, just a few spade connectors).

I have just had this fitted by Ferroli engineer, but I'm finding it difficult to understand how it works. The instructions included are not too clear. Is there anywhere I can find a "dummies" version?

You can buy these from City Plumbing Supllies, no problem. About £130 though. You can use a standard wireless room stat if the receiver is wired in correctly. You can get these for upwards of £50. Having said that, the ferroli receiver and stat can be installed in 10 mins
