I have a rover metro, 100 ascot when i first brought the car my lights began to play up. The dipped head lights would work and high beam but for them to come on normal i would have to sit there for about 3 minutes for them to click on themselves and as they would come on u would hear a click so we changed the relays and still the same today. Also i brought myself a new car in january and stopped using the metro it was parked up on the drive after afew months we started it an changed the battery and got it working again but the wipers have completely stopped working and also the heater has stopped working. Ive changed the fuses under the steerin wheel and ulso the fuses under the bonet. Anyone got any ideas to what it may be??? please help

Dear Kelly. I've got one of these cars too. I have the same headlight problem but it's dipped beam that won't come on at first, main beam is OK. I changed the relay but to no avail. I've been told it's the dip switch lever, but that doesn't fit in with the delayed 'click' I hear. Re. the heater, the wire wound resistor which controls the heater fan speed (under the bonnet by the bulkhead) has broken up with corrosion so only the highest speed works. Is this the problem with yours?
