sometimes the drum in my dryer does not start rotating when the door is closed. I have found that if I manually turn drum, quickly close door, that the momentum seems to start normal dryer action. Any ideas - do you think it might be the drive belt?
if anybody is interested it turned out to be faulty motor capacitor. Once changed its working perfect

I would guess that the belt has stretched and so cannot get the drum moving. Once going the belt has enough friction and grip to keep it going, probably helped by the heat aswell.
