how do you fit a light switch on a ford ka?

how easy is it to fit a new light switch on a ford ka

2 minute job.

First go to 247spares.com and request the part, then someone will phone/text you with a price (I got one for £28 delivered).

To fit, remove the upper cowling on the steering column (the bit that goes over the hazard switch), by undoing the screws through the holes on the lower cowling.

Just behind the hazard switch on the stalk/switch unit, there is a screw, undo this and keep safe.

Remove both plugs (indicator/light stalk and wiper stalk) that go into this unit.

Then simply the unit pops out. Sorry, forgot to say, that to replace the light switch you HAVE to change the entire unit (consisting of wiper stalk, indicator/light stalk, hazard switch).

Retrace these steps to put the new one in.

Good luck. Call me if any problems 07869213530

Andrew ...you need to be more specific. If its the exterior lights switch and if they are not operating the lights then the problem is unlikely to be caused by the switch unless there is physical damage to it.
