thank you. my sat nav turned off permanently whilst on the road. i just pushed a pen up the reset hole and it turned back on. thanks.

Always make sure after using Tomtom with Pc (tomtom home) you disconnect correctly by using device disconnect in tool bar at the top next to file/tools/help etc.
It will then tell you its safe to remove.

try pressing the small copper circle on rear of unit with metal object at the side of connector (windscreen mount )

I've got the same problem with my brand new Tomtom 520. It was all going fine until I did the upgrades that happen as you set it up. Could this be the problem? I've emailed tomtom.
