replacing element on an electrolux EDB710x double oven?

I need to replace the element on my Bottom oven, fan and light work but no heat... hope someone can help as the part is £22 but to call engineer is going to be £100

Does anyone know how to remove the top oven element on the Electrolux EDB 710X

Espares.co.uk sell the part for around £16 including delivery cost. They also have a video that shows you how to replace it. Really easy to replace.

Dave,

A late addition, but I changed the element in my EDB710x last evening. It took me 15 minutes and, believe me, I'm no electician!

I isolated the cooker from the mains first (of course!), then removed the plate at the back of the bottom oven (held by 4 small screws). Be careful to pull the thermostat sensor out of its cradle. The element surrounds the fan and is held in place by 3 small screws. I removed these and pulled the element forward. This allows you to unplug the two power connectors (be careful, they're fragile).

Replacement of the element is the exact backward version of the above. I think they call it reverse engineering!!

Good luck, if you haven't already done the relacement.

Dave,

I have exactly the same problem!

Where did you find the part for £22. The lowest I've got to is £40.
