how do i remove the rear window winder on an astra estate 96 diesel

There is a horse shoe shaped wire clip between the handle and the plastic spacer, if you prise the two apart you should see it, they can be tricky but i find that a fine flat head screw driver does the trick just push down on one of the ends the you can see.
