my car is renault magane which was serviced by a friend at 12000 miles but we can not get the service light to go out my is a 56 reg. model,also having problems with the drivers seat renault garage says it is down to wear and tear but the car is only 10 months old.please help

Most cars you can press the trip switch for 10 seconds and turn ignition on and that clears it, its worth a try.
