Please help i have a 1998 scenic and it stinks inside of petrol (none has been spilt) its worse when im low on petrol ??

Common renault problem.The fuel punp is located under the back seat. A recall was done by renault on the clio`s to sort the problem. Remove the pump and change the seal is the correct way to sort the problem but a quick fix is to seal the plastic cover that covers the pump.but that is temporary fix the seal on the pump needs changing.
