Hotpoint Ultima Model TDC60 Tumble Drier has stopped drying the clothes?
I have the above Condenser Tumble Drier and it has worked fine for the past 4 years. Just this last week or so my wife has noticed the clothes are taking longer to dry and yesterday there was one load which was on repeatedly and after 4 /5 cycles the clothes were still not dry. Is this a simple fault which can be fixed by replacing a thermostat or heater controls? or something more terminal. I would appreciate some guidance. Many thanks
Bhavick is right but you need to know that thermostats go faulty for a reason. The main reason is continuously drying with a blocked fluff filter and condenser. Also, I recently dismantled my dryer and was horrified by the amount of dust and fluff that accumulated over the years. A lot of fluff had lodged behind the drum which in turn, put a strain on the motor and belt. This also led to the frequently cutting out of the thermostats at the back.

Hi,
I had/have the same problem, you need to change the thermostats, the pair can be found above the heating element on the back panel of drier. they cost around £15-30. very easy to replace.
