My Maytag Ensignia emitted a burning (like plastic or rubber) smell while on. I turned it off and took out the clothes but never saw smoke although the smell persisted for several hours. What's wrong?

Rachel, You can check the plug or wiring because of the heat probably over use like me, make sure you mark the wires before trying to replace them or you will end up with a bigger problem if you conect them wrong a mobile picture before starting will help, good luck....
