I own a samsung scl 906 and I cannot play the tapes back in the player. How can this be fixed without costing me a lot of money?

These Hi8 models are a disappearing breed, having been superseded by newer technology. A repair is probably not going to be worth the money.
You could maybe play your tapes back on a different camcorder - if you can find one. Or perhaps eBay has a suitable replacement cheaply enough.
