how can i get the door open on hotpoint?

my hotpoint wf 400 door is jammed shut,do you know how i can open it, i think the handle may be broke is it easy to replace

the handle is easy enough to replace...to open it however is a pain but can be done by dismantling the washer until you can access the lock ( thin wrist needed ! )..theere will be a spring mechinism... pull it an hey presto...
